i don't beleive it either. I can understand them stoping to print the bound volumes, everyone these days is trying to save paper, plus more and more people are using computers, and the CD is far better then looking up volumes. And i'm sure there was an annocement about 6 mouths ago that the CD will be coming out every year now and not every 2-3 years.

WTS: NO MORE BOUND VOLUMES AFTER THIS YEAR!
by Mary ini just found out today (from my sister) that crooklyn will not be making any more bound volumes of the watchtower or awake magazines after this year------instead, they're all going to be on audio tape only.
she does not have a computer so i generously
i think this could very well be yet another tactic of the gb trying to keep a lid on their "embarassing" quotes of yesterday.

What I meant to say was the regular CD that we are getting now will be available in a yearly edition, I think the audio ones are just a reading of the WT edition mainly needed for the impaired.

...that I will do everything that the GB tells me to do no matter how much sense it doesn’t make or how little I understand it.
And that will prove to you people how spiritual I am !!!!!!!!!

I haven’t read all the replies to this tread, but I don’t think it’s a big deal if they stop printing the bound volumes, even the Britannica has stopped its printed volumes its only on CD now. I did hear an announcement in the KM that CD’s will be available on a yearly edition now, which I believe should make research a lot easier then looking up bound volumes, everyone is trying to save paper these days, but I think its still a good idea to keep the separate Watchtowers editions if possible because if the GB stuff up more then usual then they change it on the CD version before its released.

Question for Ozziepost
by stillajwexelder inso today i was in kansas city shopping for wine and i purchased a bottle of yalumba barossa shiraz (2002 but only because it had a higher robert parker rating than the 2001) and it was $15.99 - just had a glass.
absolutely wonderful.
another ass-kicking wine from south easet australia.. have you had this wine and how did you rate it?

I've tried french wines and italain wines but the aussie stuff is still the best, as far as that wine you got the Yalumba Barossa Shiraz, Its a good wine but there are better ones. I perfer a Cab/Sav or a merlot.

I think the reason why the WTS publish so many articles that have nothing to do with Theology, mainly in the Awake, is to put a more stronghold on the claim that the WTS gives all the information (food at the proper time) that the R&F need, how often do you read in the WT how young students use the Awake to do their school projects, they never state that they went to other sources eg a library. They want the R&F to be fully dependant on the WTS and NEVER to go to other sources.

THE PURPLE TRIANGLE! Would you force children to watch it?
by vomit inone of my worst memorys as a child, just before my mother was bapthised was when her study conductor had the idea of everybody watching the "purple triangle" together.
i was about 11, i didnt want to watch it from the outset and a few minutes in, i really didnt want to watch it.
in my nature i hate anything to do with violence, 20 years later i still feel watching that at such a young age does not build positive effects.

I’ve seen the movie and I wouldn’t let my kids watch it because its propaganda, it’s just a one-sided story to make JW’s look good. I’m not saying the family’s story isn’t true, but truth is greater then fiction, and particularly in war time, their are many stories of bravery and sacrifice, many people gave up their life to save others and to reject Hitler, some were German citizens and they also opposed Hitler till the death and their story is just one of many, but because they didn’t belong to a cult who is trying to get some publicity then we don’t hear of them.

A poem called THE DILEMMA
by The Lone Ranger inthe dilemma
to laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
to weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

THE DILEMMA To laugh is to risk appearing a fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out for another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk rejection. To place your dreams before the crowd is to risk ridicule. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure. But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love. Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave. He has forfeited his freedom. Only a person who takes risks is free. Thinking on this line, how many JW's are really free?
